I purchased a Magic band + at Disneyland in February 2023, I am getting ready to visit DisneyWorld in NoV 2023. My magic band + does not show on my account in my Disney experience. What do I need to do to link it to use it at WDW?

    Hi Heather!

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney today. I've used my MagicBand+ successfully at Disney Parks on both coasts so I'd be happy to help get you tech ready for your November visit. Though your MagicBand+ is already linked to your Disneyland Resort Mobile App, you'll need to take a few additional steps to sync it with your My Disney Experience App for use at Walt Disney World Resort. Let's band together and make it happen.

First, do NOT deactivate the band from your Disneyland Resort App. You'll want to head to your phone's Bluetooth settings instead and click "Forget This Device" once you've located your MagicBand+ on the list. Once that's done be sure to download the My Disney Experience App if you haven't done so already and then tap the feature menu (≡) at the bottom of the screen. Click the tile for "MagicBands and More" toward the bottom of the right column and then select "Link Your MagicBand of Card."

From here you can use the "Tap" option to open your phone's scanner to link the band or manually type in your MagicBand+ ID located on the back of your band then follow the on-screen instructions to pair. You'll want to ensure your MagicBand+ is charged before beginning this process. I also discovered that I needed to hold my band toward the back upper right corner of my phone to begin in order to pair it using the scanner.

Once your band is paired successfully you'll be good to go and ready for plenty of magic on your upcoming trip. You'll notice a few extra features are available when using your band at Walt Disney World Resort like unlocking your Disney Resort Collection hotel room door and making purchases in the parks. Next time you plan to return to Disneyland Resort simply follow the steps above to "Forget This Device" in your phone's Bluetooth settings and pair it with the Disneyland App again. The band should remain stored on your list of MagicBands within both apps.

I hope this was helpful Heather. If you need additional assistance please reach out to us again or visit the technical support page. I'm wishing you a most magical visit this fall!

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
