How long does a MagicBand+ last? Will an 18 month old MagicBand+ still pick up ride photos? I don't usually purchase Memory Maker, but it was such an amazing investment my last trip that I want to do it again in February. I even made a Photo Book!

    Hi Rochelle,

Welcome back to planDisney!  I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed your purchase of Memory Maker on your last visit and are eager to do so again for your next vacation!  Disney PhotoPass Service is such an amazing enhancement for your vacation and being able to access Attraction Photos and Videos is such a fun way to preserve your vacation memories.

You will be happy to hear that your MagicBand+ is rechargeable and you should be able to recharge it for quite some time, which will allow you to use it again for your upcoming visit in February.  If you haven't used it in a while, most likely you will need to charge it again to make sure it is still functioning properly before your visit.  Your MagicBand+ should have come with a short USB charging cable, but you can purchase another one if you cannot locate it.  After your charge is complete, you can check the battery status by pushing the button on the back of your MagicBand+.  If the charge is complete, then it will flash green.  Alternatively, you can check your battery status on your My Disney Experience App if your MagicBand+ is paired with your mobile device.

Remember to bring your charging cable with you for your upcoming trip and it is recommended that you charge your MagicBand+ every night.  It is possible that your MagicBand+ battery could keep its charge for up to 3 days, but it is recommended to charge your MagicBand+ each night to be sure of a full charge.

I hope that your vacation is filled with Pixie Dust and that you are able to make that photo book you mentioned!  As you continue to make your vacation plans, be sure to come back and visit us here at planDisney with all of your vacation planning questions.
