Hello, Sally!
Thank you for reaching out to planDisney. I am glad that you purchased
Lightning Lane Multi Pass! It is such a time saver! My family tries to maximize our time when visiting Disneyland Resort, and I love that Lightning Lanes allow us to skip the standby lines on many attractions.
I suggest trying to modify your Lightning Lane Multi Pass to a different date in the Disneyland app after changing your park reservation date. I tried doing this recently at Walt Disney World Resort, and it gave me the option to change dates. However, this option is not always available at Disneyland Resort, as Lightning Lanes work a little differently there. If you cannot modify the dates, I recommend chatting with a Cast Member on the
Disneyland app or the
Disneyland website to explore options. They might be able to change the dates for you or offer a refund. It just depends on the specific situation, as Lightning Lanes are generally non-refundable, but there may be some flexibility if you ask for a refund before scanning into a theme park. If you do get a refund, you could purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass after entering a theme park (subject to availability).
Do you have a strategy for booking your Lighting Lanes? I have friends who like to rope-drop (meaning, arriving at the theme parks before they officially open). They take advantage of lower wait times by using standby lines in the morning and make their Lightning Lane reservations for the afternoon when more Guests are in the parks. On the other hand, my family tends to stay until the parks close and then sleep in the next day, so we generally use our Lightning Lanes throughout the entire day. I like that Lighting Lane Multi Pass offers Guests the flexibility to enjoy Disneyland in whatever manner works best for their families!
Sally, I hope you have a wonderful day at Disneyland Resort whenever you decide to visit.
Modifying park reservations is fairly easy, but just make sure to use your theme park tickets before their expiration date.
Magic Happens!
