MagicBand+ is one of my favorite accessories. My family and I never visit without ours! We use them to access our tickets at the entrance gates – I love the fact that MagicBand+ makes entry hassle-free, especially when I have the whole family with me. We also use this accessory to unlock our Disney Resort Hotel room door. My kids are constantly losing things, so having wearable technology that allows them to come and go (like when my teenager just
needs to refill his
resort-refillable mug a million times before the resort quick-service closes) is a game-changing convenience. MagicBand+ will also light up and vibrate during select entertainment and when you interact with or walk near certain park elements. MagicBand+ really makes you part of the story during your Disney vacation.
In addition to all this, you can also use MagicBand+ to charge resort purchases to your payment card on file during your stay. During online check-in, use the
My Disney Experience app to allow charging to your room. Add your payment method and your PIN and you’re good to go. While you cannot link a Disney Gift Card as your payment method, my fellow panelist Lynne provides a
great explanation here that details how you can visit the front desk to charge daily MagicBand+ purchases to a gift card just before charges are settled on your account using your payment method on file. I've asked around about this, and some of my planDisney friends prefer to do this daily when they return from the theme parks in the evening to be safe while others say they’ve done it just before checking out the night before they depart and it worked like a charm.
