Greetings, Lynn, and welcome to planDisney!
"Magic mirror on the wall..." What options do you have now that your dear grandson can't accompany you on your upcoming vacation? I am more than happy to reveal an answer that will clarify your dilemma.
There have been a handful of visits that I've had to modify because I'm feeling Sleepy, Dopey, Happy, Bashful, Grumpy, or Sneezy (and need to see a Doc). But regardless of why your little Prince Charming can't use the theme park tickets, you do have a couple of options available to you, Lynn.
As long as you haven't taken a bite out of your magical apple (unused theme park tickets), you will be able to reassign them to another person. If you choose this option, add the new Guest to your
Family & Friends List. Select "Tickets and Passes" in your My Disney Experience account (online or in the My Disney Experience app). Find the multi-day ticket that you purchased, select "Reassign Ticket," and choose someone from your Family & Friends List to take on the tickets.
Or if it's a matter of your grandson coming at a later date, you can also modify the dates of the theme park tickets. To change your selected dates, log in to your My Disney Experience account via the desktop website and select "Theme Park Reservations." Select "Make or Modify Theme Park Reservations," and then select "Modify Reservation."
Worst case scenario, which isn't so bad at all, you can reach out to a Disney Cast Member. You can do this via the My Disney Experience app's "Chat With Us" feature (click on the three horizontal lines and select "Chat With Us"). Or call the
"Existing Tickets" phone number to talk to a Cast Member on the phone.
AN EXTRA GEM: If for any reason, your grandson does tag along next month, check out the planDisney podcast episode where my friends
Nimmy and
Lauren B. break down all of the fun things to do at Walt Disney World Resort with little ones. From classic attractions like "it's a small world" to magical parades like the
Festival of Fantasy, there is so much for him to do, even if it's a year or two from now.
Lynn, I do hope that someday your little Prince will come with you to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Until then,
we are here at planDisney to help answer your Disney vacation planning questions.
Magic always,
LeAndra
