Hiya, Stephanie! Thanks for bringing your great question our way.
I'm so excited to hear that you have a merry crew headed to
Walt Disney World Resort at the most wonderful time of year! I understand that sometimes plans can shift and change and that one of the Guests in your travel party might not be able to make it. Unfortunately, tickets for Walt Disney World Resort are non-transferable and non-refundable. That means that if you purchased these tickets separately from a vacation package, you won't be able to cancel or get a refund for one of the tickets.
I know this isn't the answer you were looking for, but Hakuna Matata! No worries! I have a few alternate ideas for you. First, the Guest may be able to
modify the date of the unused ticket for a future date – the biggest thing to know is that they may need to pay the difference in cost for this ticket. This way, they can consider this ticket "magic postponed" instead of fully canceled! Additionally, if you booked a
vacation package that includes tickets
and a stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you may be able to modify your reservation 30 days or more prior to your arrival date. My best tip would be to
call a Cast Member as soon as you know if this Guest needs to cancel and they'll provide you with the best next steps that are available to you.
Since you'll be
visiting during the holidays, be sure that you keep an eye on all of the seasonal offerings available to you! You may want to purchase tickets to
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and you won't want to miss the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. Also, take a little time to download and explore the
My Disney Experience app, which will let you check wait times for attractions, access
virtual queues, and
mobile order food – helping you to make the most out of every merry, magical moment.
