Hi Kimberly, welcome to planDisney!
You are just days away from a spooktacular visit to Walt Disney World Resort. A new
seasonal Magic Kingdom Park scavenger hunt was just released and looks eerily entertaining. If you're just here for the snacks, like me, then be sure to check out the
Disney Eats: Foodie Guide to Halloween Treats.
Theme park tickets purchased on the
Walt Disney World Resort website are e-tickets by default. Allow me to explain. When going through the checkout process, you are required to link each ticket to a My Disney Experience account or account profile. The next step of the purchase process is where you select the delivery method. Mobile tickets are the default setting. After purchase, your tickets should automagically appear in your My Disney Experience account. Linked tickets allow you to download a
Disney MagicMobile pass using your
My Disney Experience mobile app (three small lines at the bottom right of the app's homepage > Disney MagicMobile) or scan a linked MagicBand at theme park entry. Please keep in mind that multi-day tickets require an additional
theme park reservation for each park day through January 8, 2024.
I do not recommend waiting to purchase a theme park ticket at a theme park ticket window, Kimberly, but if you decide to go that route, please check the
theme park reservation availability calendar before you leave for the parks. Cast Members at the ticket windows will make sure your tickets are properly linked to your My Disney Experience account before you tap into your first park. They can even give you an admission card, which is another way to
tap into the magic of the theme parks.
I hope this information helps clarify what it means to have an electronic ticket at Walt Disney World Resort, Kimberly. Please don't hesitate to
reach out with any other questions before, during, or after your visit.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
