Hey there, hi there, Courtney! Welcome to planDisney. I am so glad you are excited for your upcoming visit and I'm just as excited for you!
Happy early birthday to your daughter! I think the Happiest Place on Earth is a wonderful choice for a birthday celebration. You can check out park maps on both the
Disneyland website and in the
Disneyland app to get your bearings and the layout of the parks. For a printer-friendly version, I recommend searching the internet. I was able to find this
Disneyland park map, which will give you a good feel for the park. Please note that Tiana's Bayou Adventure is now open and along with that Critter Country is now Bayou Country. There have also been a few name changes to some shops as well as Hungry Bear Barbeque Jamboree in that area.
Speaking of the Disneyland app, I think that is the most important tool to familiarize yourself with ahead of your visit. I always recommend that you take the time to add a card or two to your profile in the app so that you can quickly and easily make in-app purchases without having to reenter all your card information each time.
Mobile ordering our food and snacks is one of my favorite ways to maximize my time for fun in the parks!
If you are celebrating with table service dining, be sure to check if they offer a
Mickey cake that you can add to your reservation for a fee. If that doesn't work, I know my kids usually prefer to pick a fun treat out from behind the glass at Candy Palace. There's always a fun cupcake and my personal favorite is the Peanut Butter Square.
Courtney, be sure to stop by City Hall as soon as you get into the park. It's not a birthday celebration without your complimentary birthday button to let everyone know you've got a special birthday girl! See you real soon!
