Is it possible to have a lightning lane premiere pass and not get on a ride?

    Hi Pam!

Welcome back to planDisney! Thanks for sending another great question our way!

Lightning Lane Premier Pass includes one-time entry to each Lightning Lane experience in the park you purchased the pass for, pending availability. Of course, ideally, all attractions that offer Lightning Lanes will be open and available during your visit. But in the case an attraction does need to close, you may not get to experience every single one.

If you find yourself in a situation in which a ride is closed, keep a lookout for it to reopen by using your My Disney Experience app. If the ride reopens, you’ll be welcome to head over and scan into the Lightning Lane.

Beyond that, to ensure you’re able to experience all the available attractions using Lightning Lane Premier Pass, make sure you give yourself enough time during the day. While the Lightning Lane queue at the attractions allow you to skip the long standby lines, there may still be a short wait. Plus, you’ll want to give yourself plenty of time to get from attraction to attraction, enjoy any extra experiences you want to around the park, and take any breaks you need.

One of my favorite parts about Lightning Lane Premier Pass is that you’ll be able to experience the attractions in any order you want.  That will make your day much more efficient and laid back, allowing you to experience most, if not all, of the available attractions throughout the day.

Remember, you can purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass beginning at 7 AM Eastern, 7 days prior to your check-in date if you’re staying at a Disney World resort or select good neighbor hotel. If you’re staying off property, you can purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass beginning at 7 AM Eastern, 3 days prior to the start date of your park ticket if it’s a date-based ticket.
