Welcome to planDisney, Katie! I’m so excited to help you “enter the grid” and map out your plan for
TRON Lightcycle / Run!
TRON is one of Magic Kingdom’s most thrilling attractions, reaching speeds of nearly 60 miles per hour on a sleek, motorbike-style lightcycle. I can totally see why you’d want to ride it more than once, since the experience is fast, fun, and over too soon!
Now, let’s talk
Lightning Lanes. The My Disney Experience system is pretty smart when it comes to managing different types of Lightning Lane passes. Since the Single Pass is tied to a specific ride and reservation time, the system will automatically use it first if you scan in during that reserved window. However, if you decide to hop on TRON again outside of that time frame, it will pull from your
Premier Pass instead. The Premier Pass is more flexible since it doesn’t require a reservation and can be used once per ride, per day.
So, for example, if you book a Single Pass for TRON from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM and ride during that window, the system will prioritize that pass. If you ride again at, say, 3:00 PM, it will automatically use the Premier Pass. If you're feeling unsure, just talk to the Cast Members stationed outside of the attraction queue entrance and they'll make sure the correct Lightning Lane Pass is used.
If you’re staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, you’ll have the perk of purchasing Lightning Lane products 7 days in advance of your trip, which can really help with securing those popular times. And just a quick heads-up...starting Feb. 25,
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will offer both
standby queues and Lightning Lane options, which might impact your plans depending on your visit dates.
I hope this helps you get ready for a “grid-worthy” adventure on TRON! Wishing you a magical trip, Katie!
