Fantasmic! is my favorite nighttime spectacular at Disney World, so let’s make sure you can get a great seat!
I checked with a Cast Member who confirmed that you’ll need to make two separate dining reservations if not everyone in your party wants the
Fantasmic! Dining Package (one regular dining reservation and one dining package reservation, for around the same time). When you check in at the restaurant, let a Cast Member know you’d like to be seated together, if possible. While there’s no guarantee, in my experience, Cast Members will try their best to grant your wish!
Another option would be to book a dining reservation without the package for everyone, and the person who wants to watch Fantastic! can plan to head to the theater early to snag a good seat. If you’re in Hollywood Studios on a night when there are two showings of Fantasmic!, I always recommend going to the second one. Not only does it let you maximize your time in the park, but it’s almost always less crowded than the first show. Dining Packages are typically only sold for the first show, so during the second show, you can usually snag a seat right in the center of the theater!
I’m not sure if you have a specific restaurant in mind yet, but
Hollywood & Vine would be a great pick since you have little ones in your party. And in September, Minnie Mouse and her friends will be dressed in their BOO-tiful Halloween outfits! Another one of my favorites is
50’s Prime Time Cafe, for the old-time vibes and delicious golden fried chicken. Both of those restaurants have regular reservations and Fantasmic! Dining Packages.
While you’re in Hollywood Studios, make sure you stop by Animation Courtyard to check for characters. Recently, there have often been a few roaming Disney pals in a more casual environment, which is great for littles! And don’t forget that you’re going to be at Disney World for the tail end of
Cool KIDS’ SUMMER, which has even more special character experiences.
