Hi there, Stacy!
Welcome to planDisney. We're delighted you've dropped by with an exciting
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question! Although theme park days are always fun, some of my favorite vacation memories are from "non-theme park days." I'm here to help you plan your perfect Disney day beyond the theme parks!
Before your exciting day at The Most Magical Place on Earth, be sure to take a look at the
Hours & Events Calendar. This will help you to understand the operational times for complimentary Walt Disney World Resort transportation. (Also, I'm going to provide these recommendations based on the assumption that you do
not have theme park admission on this day.) I recommend starting off your Disney adventure with lunch at Disney Springs. There, you'll find plentiful Quick-Service dining options that don't require any pre-planning. Just go where your heart (or tummy) takes you! Some of my family's favorites include
Chicken Guy! and The Polite Pig. Alternatively, you could opt for a Table-Service experience if reservations are available. The BOATHOUSE offers terrific food and splendid waterfront views!
After you've wrapped up your meal, head to the bus stop at Disney Springs, Stacy. You'll want to catch a bus to either Disney's Yacht or Beach Club Resorts or Disney's BoardWalk Inn. Once you've arrived at either of these Disney Resort hotels, it's time for a relaxing boat ride! Hop aboard a
FriendShip Boat for a calming cruise along Crescent Lake. Your wondrous watercraft will take you to Disney's Hollywood Studios, where you'll be ready to complete the next leg of your Walt Disney World Resort transportation tour. Head to the Disney Skyliner at Disney's Hollywood Studios and prepare for an airborne adventure! You'll embark on a short flight from the theme park to
Disney's Riviera Resort. (You'll have a transfer at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.) Hop off here and head to the bus stop for another brief ride over to Magic Kingdom Park. (If you're ready for a snack break now, stop over at
Le Petit Café for a tasty treat on your way to the bus stop!)
When you've arrived at Magic Kingdom Park, you'll need to pass through a security checkpoint before you can access the monorail station. Once you're through, head up to the station and catch the
Resort Monorail. You'll loop around Seven Seas Lagoon, experiencing beautiful views of Cinderella Castle and passing through Disney's Contemporary Resort! Take the monorail around to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and disembark here. If you're in the mood for a tropical totty, stop by
Trader Sam's Tiki Terrace for a quick bite and sip before heading back to Disney Springs via bus! Alternatively, if you're ready for a more substantial dinner,
Capt. Cook's is a family-favorite Quick-Service option.
I hope these details help you plan an incredible day at The Most Magical Place on Earth. If you have any more planning questions, revisit us at
planDisney anytime! We're all ears.
See ya real soon,
Lauren
