Hey there, Shawn!
Welcome back to planDisney - it's great to see you've returned with another wonderful
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. In just a few short days, your family will be arriving at The Most Magical Place on Earth - are you counting down the minutes!? I'm always happy to help a repeat "customer," so let's chat about what items you can bring with you into the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.
Shawn, it's always important to refer to the Walt Disney World Resort
property rules to understand what's permitted in the theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs. According to the list of prohibited items, coolers are permitted if they are no larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm). Additionally, loose and/or dry ice is not permitted in the theme parks, so you'll want to pack your cooler with re-useable ice packs instead. I'm happy to inform you that, if your cooler fits within these dimensions, you're more than welcome to bring it (and any special food items your wife may require throughout the day) into the theme parks with you, Shawn! If you do require ice (or ice water) at any point during your day, you can always request these at any Quick-Service dining location.
I love that you're considering bringing a metal water bottle with you into the theme parks. This is a
sustainable option for staying hydrated during your perfect Disney day, and my family always does the same! You'll be glad to know that all of the theme parks (and most Disney Resort hotels) feature bottle fill stations so you can top off throughout the day. Many times, these refill stations are located near restrooms, Guest Relations locations, or near transportation hubs. If you have questions about where the nearest bottle fill station is located, simply reach out to a nearby Cast Member for guidance, Shawn!
Did you know the Walt Disney World Resort has a Special Diets team that specializes in accommodating Guests with dietary restrictions? I encourage you to consider reaching out to the Special Diets team
via email ahead of your visit to explore suitable dining options for your wife. This team of experts will be able to help you navigate medically-restricted dining at the Walt Disney World Resort.
I hope these details help you feel more prepared as you gear up to navigate a thrilling day at The Most Magical Place on Earth. If you have any more questions before or during your visit, feel free to stop back by
planDisney again anytime. We're here to help you make magical memories during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
See ya real soon,
Lauren
