Welcome back to planDisney, Sharlene! I'm so happy to help you work out the details of your just-around-the-corner visit to the
Most Magical Place on Earth. Arrival day is like Elsa's Coronation Day. It makes me want to sing about opening the gates and salad plates! Let's look at some ideas for making the most of every second of your trip.
First, I would like to let you know about
Direct-to-Room service. If you check in online or through your
My Disney Experience mobile app, you can bypass the front desk and head straight to your Disney Resort Hotel room as soon as it's ready. You can opt-in for text messages to be notified when you can access your room. I've also gotten a link to a resort map which is helpful for my stay.
When you first arrive at your resort, you can leave your luggage with
Bell Services if your room isn't ready. They'll tag your bags and stow them safely for you so you can explore! Hang on to your claim ticket; I always take a photo in case I misplace it. This service is complimentary, but I always tip Cast Members when I pick up my bags.
Disney Resort Hotels offer complimentary transportation to
Disney Springs, so you can hop aboard and ride in style. My first stop at "The Springs" is
Gideon's Bakehouse. They might offer a virtual queue on busier days, so I join that queue and head off to shop. Last week, there wasn't a queue, and although the Gideon's line looked long, it moved quickly. Those cookies are life-changing! My favorite is Peanut Butter Crunch, but they're all delectable.
Sharlene, As Anna would say, I don't know if I'm elated or gassy, but I'm somewhere in that zone! I'm excited for you and know you'll have a magical time. Feel free to stop by
planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
