Hang on tight, Brandon! planDisney loves helping guests with transportation, so let's look at how you can get around Walt Disney World Resort with ease during your visit. You arrive soon, so let's put the pedal to the metal!
My first tip is to show you a magical map at your fingertips. Open your
My Disney Experience mobile app and tap the location icon at the bottom of the screen. This will bring up an
interactive map of the entire property! Swipe along the top and select "Transportation" to get started.
Tap the "Locations" dropdown menu near the top, select your destination, then tap "Apply." The map will zoom in on that location, so find the bus stop or area you're heading to and select it.
Once you've tapped your destination, a window labeled "Get Directions" should pop up. You'll type in your starting point to see your transportation options. If more than one way to travel is available, you can choose each one to see the route and estimated times. I even do this in theme parks to find the quickest walking path!
I entered directions from EPCOT to Disney Springs this morning, and the only route the app gave was to exit EPCOT from the International Gateway near the England Pavilion. Walk to
Disney's BoardWalk Inn and board a bus to Disney Springs. Easy peasy!
To get back to EPCOT, I simply hit the reverse arrow on the map. This route is a little tricky because there are no direct buses from Disney Springs to the theme parks. The app suggested walking from Disney Springs to
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, where you'd catch the bus back to EPCOT.
Keep in mind that bus transportation at Disney Springs is undergoing some changes, so I suggest checking the directions in your app before you head out. I don't have all the details regarding the changes yet, but I do know you'll need to be a Disney Resort Hotel guest or have a dining/experiences reservation to use the complimentary transportation from Disney Springs. To keep up with the latest information, my tip is to check the
Resort Transportation page.
I hope you have a fantastic time with your pals at Disney Springs. If anyone has gluten or dairy concerns, I recommend stopping by
Erin McKenna's Bakery NYC; everything in the shop is dairy-free and gluten-free!
Brandon, please stop by
planDisney anytime. I'll be revving the engines to get you a speedy answer!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
