Hi Marla!
Welcome to planDisney! I love that you’re thinking ahead! That’s going to make your trip that much smoother when it comes around.
If you’re planning to enter Magic Kingdom by only using your
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticket, you will not be able to get into the park any earlier than what’s listed on the ticket. In past years, you’re right! That’s been 4:00 PM.
If you have a regular park ticket for Magic Kingdom (or a
park hopper ticket) that day in addition to your Halloween Party ticket, you’ll be more than welcome to enter the park earlier for a dining reservation.
But I’d recommend planning to make a dining reservation in the park at 4:30 PM or later if you’ll only have a Halloween Party ticket that day. That way, you’ll have plenty of time to scan in to the park and make your way through the welcome area to pick up your trick-or-treat bag before heading to your dining reservation. Then you’ll be done with dinner in time to enjoy all the fun things the party has to offer.
Remember, if you’re staying at a
Disney World resort, you’ll be able to
make your Advanced Dining Reservations for your entire trip beginning at 6 AM Eastern, 60 days prior to your resort check-in date. As far as purchasing Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets goes, sale dates vary each year. For 2026, tickets went on sale in May. I recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog or Disney Parks social media pages for any important announcements in the springtime.
I hope that helps! If you have any other questions as you continue to plan your trip, feel free to come back and visit us!
