Welcome to planDisney and Boo to You! If no one has told you today, great job, mom! As a mama myself, I know that it can be a lot trying to do all the things and also create incredible core memories for your children. I’m so happy that I get to help you plan today!
Don’t tell anyone, Aneasia, but I never used to be a big Halloween fan, but visiting Walt Disney World Resort during the Fall changed all that for me. One of my favorite things to do is attend
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party with my children. During this event, Magic Kingdom closes to Guests without an event ticket (so Guests without a ticket are asked to leave Magic Kingdom at 7 pm EST on party dates), allowing Guests shortened wait times for attractions, exclusive entertainment such as my favorite Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, and event-specific character meet-and-greets. Also, you get to trick-or-treat at Magic Kingdom! My children love it! Every year we do a family costume (one of the perks of attending the party is being able to dress up as an adult) and try to collect as much candy as possible. There are two party dates, October 22nd and 23rd, during your planned visit, Aneasia, so this could be a great way to bring some Halloween magic to your family.
Now, Magic Kingdom isn’t the only place you can get a little taste of Halloween. Another favorite place of mine to visit during October is
Disney Springs. Just like at Magic Kingdom, Disney Springs fully embraces the Fall vibe, and you can find stunning Fall/Halloween décor like pumpkin displays and photo spots. They also traditionally have festive treats for purchase, Halloween-themed merchandise, and incredible entertainment (for free). My children love a good dance party, so they always have a blast when we go to Disney Springs, and it still feels special! The schedule for this year’s entertainment and many of the details are still being worked on behind the scenes, but we should see some updates very soon to help you plan! Speaking of special, don’t forget to head to EPCOT and check out
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit. I’m not sure of the age of your kids, Aneasia, but I have two under 5. My kids love scavenger hunts, and Pluto assembles one of the best during Halloween. You can walk around EPCOT trying to spot all of the Disney-themed pumpkins just on your own or pick up the guide for purchase (while supplies last) and complete the hunt to claim a spooky festival keepsake!
