Hello I would like to plan a Disney vacation and would some information

    Greetings, and welcome to planDisney!

Thanks for submitting your question to us and you've definitely come to the right place! We at planDisney are a group of enthusiastic and knowledgeable Guests who love to help others plan a magical Disney vacation, so it would be my pleasure to help you get started! Whether it's your first or fiftieth time visiting the Disneyland Resort, hopefully you'll find this information useful.

The Disneyland Resort, located in Anaheim, CA, consists of two primary Theme Parks: Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. The Downtown Disney District is adjacent to the entrances to the Parks where you'll find plenty of fun shopping and dining options. There are three official Disneyland Resort Hotels that will allow you to stay within the magic. Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is the luxury flagship Resort and offers elegant Craftsman style architecture and is the closest Hotel to the Theme Parks, even offering its own private entrance into Disney California Adventure. The Disneyland Hotel (my personal favorite!) is the original Hotel that opened with Disneyland Park in 1955. It's been updated and modernized but still retains that charm and honors the history of the Parks. Finally, Pixar Place Hotel just had its grand opening after being reimagined as a Pixar themed Hotel with lots of fun touches. You really can't go wrong with any of these properties!

I would recommend booking a Disneyland Resort Vacation Package. Your Hotel and Theme Park Tickets will be covered in one transaction. You can book this online or by calling a Cast Member at the Vacation Packages phone line. You'll need to decide when to visit next. Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort will be happening from August 23, 2024 through October 31, 2024. Then the Holiday Season will officially begin on November 15, 2024 and run through the end of the year. If you'd like to visit in 2025, look for Vacation Packages to be released towards the end of this summer.

Now on to your Ticket choice! The maximum Multi Day Ticket you can purchase is a 5-Day Ticket. You can get either a One Park Per Day or a Park Hopper Ticket. Park Hopping means that you may hop back and forth between the two Theme Parks beginning at 11 a.m. Since the two Parks are only about 300 feet apart, it's really easy and convenient to do so. If you choose to add Lightning Lane Multi Pass, that will allow you to use the Lightning Lanes at participating attractions, bypassing the standby queue and saving you lots of time!

Once your reservations are made, then you get to decide where you'd like to dine! You are able to book your dining reservations 60 days in advance of your arrival. You'll need a credit card to hold your reservation. Some of the more popular dining venues that I'd recommend would be Lamplight Lounge, the Blue Bayou Restaurant, Oga's Cantina, and Goofy's Kitchen.

Phew, that was a lot of information! If you'd like to continue this discussion, feel free to contact me or any of my pals at planDisney and we'd be happy to help you out! Happy planning!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
