I can only use 2 days of the 3 day hopper I purchased. I cannot use that last day within 13 days. Can I apply the cost of that ticket towards another ticket for a different day later?

Hi there, Cyndi! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for reaching out with this great ticket question.

I am so sorry that you are not able to use the third day of your Three-Day Park Hopper ticket at Disneyland Resort. It is always disappointing when plans change, especially when you were looking forward to soaking up that Disney magic over multiple days.

While tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable, there is an exciting option that may be a great fit for you. You can apply the cost of your three-day ticket toward a Magic Key annual pass! As a Magic Key holder myself, I love the flexibility, perks, and special experiences that come with it. You can potentially upgrade directly in the Disneyland mobile app!

To do this, open the Disneyland mobile app and tap the three line menu at the bottom of the screen. Select My Tickets and Passes, where you will see all tickets linked to your account. As long as at least one ticket day has been used, you should be able to upgrade right from that screen. If the ticket is completely unused, you will need to visit the ticket booths in the Esplanade outside the theme parks.

If you decide to upgrade, and since your visit dates will be close together, you may want to make park reservations for the two days you can visit and then upgrade on the last day you use the ticket. If you upgrade an unused ticket, your Magic Key pass will not activate until the first time you enter a park. If you upgrade after using one or more days, your Magic Key expiration date will be one year from the first day the original ticket was used. Be aware, that if you upgrade a ticket, all existing park reservations will be cancelled, and you will need to make new reservations with your new ticket type.

I did check, and Magic Keys are currently available for purchase, though availability can change at any time. I really do love being a Magic Key holder. It feels like being part of a big Disney family. We recently were mailed a special surprise only available to Magic Key holders, and it made my day!

Cyndi, I hope this helps you feel confident about the options available to you. If you have any questions about Magic Keys or anything else as you plan your visits, please do not hesitate to ask me or one of my fellow Disneyland Panelists. We are always happy to help.

Sending happy thoughts and a little extra pixie dust your way,
    Kimberly
