I have a park reservation for MK on 12/31. If I arrive late, or leave the park for a mid-day break, can I be denied entry (or re-entry) if the park hits capacity? There are conflicting answers to this question on Plan Disney. Which is right?

Hello,Thomas, thank you for stopping by planDisney. I am more than happy to help you with planning this important part of your vacation. It’ll be here before you know it.

You are going to love watching the fireworks on Main Street, U.S.A. as you kick off the New Year. You’ll want to make an entire day out of your Magic Kingdom Park visit because even though you have a valid theme park ticket and reservation through the Disney Park Pass Reservation System, your re-entry is not guaranteed. You can leave the park for a midday break and return but parks usually reach capacity on the final day of the year. You could be taking a chance if you leave.

I also like taking a midday break when I’m at the parks with my family. I recommend visiting Liberty Square to chow down on Columbia Harbour House’s New England style fare or taking a ride on the Walt Disney World Railroad to get off your feet. That is the magic of Walt Disney World. You will be surprised what hidden spots you’ll find where you can get away from the crowds.

I hope that this helps! Let us know if you need any tips and tricks for planning your Disney vacations. You can revisit us at planDisney.com

    Have a magical day,
