Hi, i have bought a 1 day park ticket for magic kingdom on 25th December. Do i need to make a reservation for it? Additionally, will there be fireworks and other events on the day itself? Thanks!

    Welcome back to planDisney!

I'm glad to hear you've purchased tickets to visit Walt Disney World Resort. Christmas week, and Christmas Day in particular, is a very popular and somehow even more magical time to visit. My family had the opportunity to walk right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. on Christmas morning a few years ago and it's a memory we'll always treasure.

Theme park reservations are required in addition to valid admission for visits through January 8, 2024, but since you've already purchased a 1-day date-based park-specific ticket for Magic Kingdom Park, the reservation should have already been generated for you. You can confirm this by linking your ticket to your My Disney Experience Mobile App if you haven't done so already. Once linked, you should see the ticket listed under "Tickets and Passes" within your app, and will find your theme park reservation under "Future Plans." Both of these sections can be found by clicking the feature menu (≡) at the bottom right of your app.

I took a look at the Hours & Events Calendar for December 25th and noticed Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks and Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade are both currently scheduled for that day. I had the pleasure of enjoying both of these festive experiences last month when I attended Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. The nighttime parade and holiday fireworks are typically only available on party dates, but daytime parade performances are scheduled while the fireworks replace performances of Happily Ever After between December 23 29th. You'll certainly be caught up in the holiday spirit and feel very merry as you enjoy them during your visit.

While you're experiencing all the exciting attractions and entertainment at Magic Kingdom Park be sure to pick up a few festive treats to keep the hunger at bay. You'll find many delicious seasonal offerings at Disney Springs and many of the Disney Resort Collection Hotels, in addition to impressive life-sized gingerbread displays. I recently visited Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and picked up a few goodies from the lobby's incredible Gingerbread House, which smelled just as wonderful as it looked. It's just a Monorail ride away from Magic Kingdom Park and not to be missed!

I hope this helps you plan a holly jolly day! If we can offer any additional guidance please jingle on back and let us know.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
