Hi Paulina! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
I hope you are enjoying the start of a magical holiday season! With the air becoming a bit more crisp, even in central Florida, now is a wonderful time to visit the
Walt Disney World Resort!
I'm sorry to hear you were not able to secure a
theme park reservation for New Year's Eve. At this time, it does seem like both the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT are not showing any availability. I have seen dates open back up after available reservations have been filled, but with this being a busy holiday, I don't anticipate this being the case. Your best option will be to purchase
Park Hopper tickets and make a theme park reservation to either Disney's Hollywood Studios or Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Then, beginning at 2 PM, you'll hopefully be able to hop over to the Magic Kingdom. The only reason why this may not be an option is if the park reaches capacity levels. In that case, Park Hopping will not be available while this is in effect. If you decide to go this route, there is a risk that you still may not get into the Magic Kingdom. If any of the parks reach capacity, you will be notified on the My Disney Experience App. Make sure to turn your push notifications on to receive any up-to-the-minute information.
While I understand wanting to ring in the new year on Main Street, U.S.A. and watch the Fantasy In The Sky Fireworks, you'll be happy to know that
Hollywood Studios is open until midnight on this day. If you were hoping to celebrate at a Disney Park, you can still make this happen.
Paulina, I hope this information helps you plan for your upcoming stay!
