Hi William, and welcome to planDisney! In just a few days you’ll be at the Most Magical Place on Earth. So, let’s talk about using
Lightning Lane Passes with park hopper tickets!
It sounds like you’re eligible to start booking Lightning Lane Passes tomorrow. That’ll open at 7:00 AM Eastern Time, so be sure to set your alarm. Don’t be late for this very important date! And if you have a date-based ticket, you can make reservations for the length of your ticket tomorrow, minimizing those 7:00 AM wake-up calls.
Park hopping really lets you maximize the magic! With Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you purchase it for a specific theme park. All three of your pre-booked selections need to be for attractions in that park, but once you scan into your first Lightning Lane entrance, you can make another selection for an attraction in any park (as long as it’s available). So if you’re starting the day riding
Slinky Dog Dash through Andy’s backyard, once you scan into the Lightning Lane entrance, you can book a multi pass experience at
Magic Kingdom.
Now, things work a bit differently with Lightning Lane Single Pass. These passes are for individual attractions, the most popular rides that aren’t included in Multi Pass. You can purchase up to two Single Passes per day for attractions in any park.
Finally, there's also
Lightning Lane Premier Pass which gives you one-time entry to every Lightning Lane experience in one park for one day, but you can't use it with park hopping.
To make sure things go smoothly tomorrow morning, download the
My Disney Experience app and double-check that everyone in your party is on your
Family & Friends List. In the app, select ☰ in the lower right corner, go to Account and select Profile, then tap on the Family & Friends List. Everyone in your party should appear on this page. If not, scroll down to
Add a Guest.
This weekend, I’d recommend hopping over to
EPCOT, where the
International Festival of the Arts is underway! I love exploring the food and art kiosks around the park. And there are so many different activities going on, from the
Animation Academy to the
Disney on Broadway Concert Series—one of my must-dos!
I hope you have a magical visit this weekend! And don’t forget, you always have a friend in me at planDisney.
