We’re planning to use the multipass option at Disney World, but one of our four can’t ride everything due to motion sickness. Do they still need to scan in at booked rides? What’s the best way to go about booking?

    Hey there, Lauren!

I'm happy to welcome you back to planDisney with another fantastic question! You're getting closer to your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth! It won't be long before you're strolling down Main Street, U.S.A., catching that breathtaking first glimpse of Cinderella Castle. I'm so excited for the memories you're about to create!

Lightning Lane Multi Pass is an absolute game-changer when it comes to navigating the parks efficiently and maximizing your time. By allowing you to bypass standard lines at multiple attractions this pass will help you experience more rides, shows, and magical moments. It's an invaluable tool for making the most of your day and ensuring that you get the full Disney experience at a pace that works best for your family.

When using Lightning Lane passes, it is important that all members of your party scan in at the booked attractions, even if someone chooses not to ride. This ensures that your reservation stays intact for future selections and helps maintain access to Lightning Lane bookings for your entire group throughout the day.

I wanted to let you know that even if someone in your party chooses not to ride a particular attraction, they are still welcome to experience the queue itself! The queue for many rides can be an attraction in its own right, and it's a great way for everyone to enjoy the experience together. For example, I personally love walking through the queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind — it's so well-themed and immersive that it's almost like its own adventure before you even get on the ride! Before boarding the ride, kindly inform a Cast Member if you prefer not to ride. They will then escort you to an exit so you can safely exit the attraction.

Don't forget, Guests staying at Disney Resorts and other select hotels can purchase their Lightning Lane passes up to 7 days before their arrival, while other Guests can purchase passes up to 3 days prior to their park visit.

I hope this information helps, Lauren! Please come visit us again if you have any other questions throughout your planning!

    Magic awaits,
