I have a park hopper pass. I plan on starting at Animal Kingdom then going to Hollywood Studios. What is the easiest transportation to get there? And also to get back to the original parking lot.

    Hiya Sandra,

Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you have an out-of-this-world day planned for your upcoming visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. The animals who call Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park home tend to be the most active earlier in the day (and when it is raining), so I always like to start my day there.

Sandra, the best way to get from Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is via the Walt Disney World Resort bus transportation! While it is not as quick as Han Solo making the Kessel Run (he did it in less than 12 parsecs, you know!), it is the most direct complimentary way to get to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Once you exit Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, just head to the bus depot area and locate the bus heading that way! You would then take a bus back to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park when you finish for the day.

Now, Sandra, I’ll let you in on a secret. Even though this is a great way to travel between the Theme Parks, it doesn’t always work best for me. I have a 14-month-old, and traveling via the bus can sometimes be challenging. My family and I love to use the Minnie Van Service to travel between Theme Parks when we can. What we love about it is that we don’t have to worry about the bus being too full or finding a place to sit. The Minnie Van can take our family, stroller, and best of all, it has a car seat that accommodates both rear and forward-facing younglings. I also love chatting with the Cast Members driving the vehicle because they share the best tips and tricks about having a magical vacation. Unlike the bus, the Minnie Van service is not complimentary, but for me, the benefit of ease outweighs the cost.

I hope this was helpful, Sandra, and that you have all you need to continue on your planning journey. Please come back and see us if you need anything else!

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
