To park in the Beach club resort parking lot for a reservation at Beaches and Cream, how far in advance can you get in the gate to park your car ?

    Hello Cynthia,

Welcome to planDisney! I'm happy to sprinkle a bit of insight on your inquiry today.

Earlier this year, my friend Matt and I had the absolute treat of showcasing Disney's Beach Club Resort for a new planDisney Resort Series. We loved this resort's location, charming decor and laid-back beachy vibe, and couldn't resist zipping down the waterslide at the fabulous Stormalong Bay. But the cherry on top of our experience was digging into the Kitchen Sink with some of our panel friends at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. If 8 scoops of ice cream, every topping imaginable, and "a WHOLE can of whipped‎ cream" sound beyond your reach, I also highly recommend the equally shareable No Way José sundae or one of their delicious milkshakes.

I reached out to a Cast Member who advised that you will be able to arrive 30 minutes prior to your meal. This will give you ample time for security to confirm your reservation (be sure that is linked to your My Disney Experience Mobile App before you arrive), park, and make your way to the restaurant to check-in. If you try to show up earlier, Cast Members at the resort’s gate might have to put a freeze on your entry.

Guests can enjoy complimentary standard self-parking at resorts with an eligible stay or a dining/experience reservation. This is typically permitted for around 3 hours, but you'll be advised of any restrictions when you arrive. You can use this time to savor every spoonful of your meal, scoop up resort-exclusive merchandise at Beach Club Marketplace, and melt away any lingering stress with a quick stroll along Disney's BoardWalk before heading back to your vehicle. Matt and I definitely needed to walk a few laps to digest all the ice cream we devoured. I regret nothing!

I hope this sweetens your upcoming visit, Cynthia. Please come back for the inside scoop on any other planning questions you might have.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
