Hi Ronit, and welcome to planDisney! I’m sorry to hear that your plans have shifted and that you have an unused Southern California Resident Ticket. I completely understand how disappointing that can be, but I’m happy to share some helpful information on what you can do next.
While
Disneyland Resort theme park tickets are non-refundable, there’s some good news built into the fine print! Per the
terms and conditions, you can use the value of a wholly unused, expired ticket toward the purchase of a new one, or upgrade it to a higher-value ticket. This gives you some wonderful flexibility as you decide how and when to use your admission. If you'd like to explore upgrade options or have questions about your ticket’s expiration, I recommend calling the "
Tickets" line to speak with a Cast Member. They’re always happy to assist and will do their best to find a solution that works for you.
If you decide to upgrade your ticket, Ronit, you’re in for an exciting summer season at the Disneyland Resort! Beginning May 16, the 70th anniversary celebration kicks off with the return of two fan-favorite nighttime spectaculars. Wondrous Journeys will light up the sky with breathtaking projection effects, stirring music, and a heartfelt tribute to Disney animation. You’ll find viewing locations throughout Disneyland, including Sleeping Beauty Castle, Main Street, the Rivers of America, and “it’s a small world.”
And if that weren’t dazzling enough, Paint the Night is making its grand return! This high-energy parade is packed with glowing floats, catchy music, and some very beloved characters. I’m especially excited to see the Frozen float return. It hasn’t made an appearance since the parade’s early days!
Over at Disney California Adventure, the celebration continues. Carthay Circle Theatre will feature a special celebratory moment with lights, music, and projections, all paying tribute to Disney storytelling. Plus, the Better Together parade returns, starring up to 30 Pixar Pals parading through the park. And making its debut this summer is World of Color Happiness!, a new nighttime spectacular lighting up Paradise Bay with fountains, lights, and scenes that will leave you grinning from ear to ear.
I hope this helps as you plan your next magical visit, Ronit! If you have more questions about tickets or need help making the most of your Disneyland Resort adventure, we hope you’ll stop by and visit us again here at planDisney.
Wishing you a visit filled with joy, memories, and maybe a Mickey pretzel (or two)!
David
