The official Disneyland Paint the Night Dining Package website list the dates for the package as January 30 to August 9th. However, I am seeing “closed” starting July 27th when I look at booking a reservation. How do I book the dining package August 4th?

    Hi there, Chrissy!

Welcome back to planDisney! As a big fan of dining packages myself, I am excited you’re thinking about booking one that includes my very favorite parade. Paint the Night is pure joy from start to finish!

Since you’re clearly a seasoned Disneyland Guest, you probably remember that dining reservations typically open 60 days in advance on the Disneyland website. For an August 4th reservation, that means you’ll want to start checking on June 5th at 6:00 AM (coffee in hand, of course!) to see if anything pops up for your date.

Since the Hours & Entertainment Schedule doesn’t reach that far out yet, it’s tough to know whether Paint the Night will run that evening or whether dining packages will be offered. I wish I had a crystal ball for your exact dates, but for now we’re in “wait and see” mode.

While looking at the schedule, I noticed that Paint the Night is still scheduled for some days when dining packages aren't currently available. Even if the package isn't offered during your visit, you may still be able to enjoy the parade. I’ve watched it several times without a dining package, and even at my not‑so‑towering height, I had a great view while standing near "it's a small world." There is an elevated area across from the attraction that is one of my favorite spots to watch parades.

If the dining package is offered during your visit, be sure to peek at the menu ahead of time. When I last booked it, the offerings were a bit different from the regular menu.

Chrissy, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the Paint the Night Dining Package is available for your upcoming visit! If you have additional questions, please reach out to us again.
