What are the hours for Disneyland and California Adventure on 10/19-1022? Can we buy tickets for one park and then a park hopper on another day?

Hey, Jody. Welcome to planDisney. You’re set to arrive at the Happiest Place on Earth during the spookiest time of year - Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort! Get ready for haunting decorations, characters in their trick-or-treating costumes, and the seasonal nighttime spectacular, Halloween Screams! It’ll be a frightfully fun time! Muahahaha!

Unfortunately, the Disneyland Resort only releases its hours and entertainment schedule about six weeks in advance, so we can’t know for sure when the park will open and close. I can see that the corresponding third Monday of the month last year posted hours of 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. for Disneyland and 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. for Disney California Adventure. I’d say it’s somewhat sort of maybe kind of safe to assume the hours will be similar. Still, check the Hours & Events Calendar six weeks ahead, which would be September 7th.

You absolutely can buy two different types of tickets. The way the system works, however, you’ll need to make two separate transactions. Buy the single-park tickets for everyone in your party, check out, then go back and purchase the park-hoppers. They’ll all show up separately in your “My Tickets & Passes” section of the Disneyland Mobile App.

I see that you’re planning to arrive on October 19th, and are considering more than one day in the parks. The day after you arrive is an Oogie Boogie Bash night, and I can’t recommend it enough. The chilling interactions with your favorite villains, the great treat trails, and just seeing the other guests' fun costumes add up to such a fun time. My favorite is the Frightfully Fun Parade, which opens with the chilling ride of the Headless Horseman. My family has countless memories of this special night over the years. This is a separately ticketed after-hours party that typically goes on sale mid-June. Don’t miss it!

I hope your trip brings you many grim grinning memories. If you have more planning questions, don’t hesitate to stop back by planDisney for all your planning needs!

I hope you have a magical day!
