Hey there, Michael! Thanks for stopping by planDisney today. I'm a Florida resident and Annual Passholder, so I'm curious about your question, too. Let's do some digging to see what's up with theme park reservations at Walt Disney World Resort.
I suspect the recent
storm closures have impacted reopening procedures and staff availability, so that's probably why theme park reservations are currently scarce for passholders. My friend
Tracie is a local, and she kept refreshing her app for about 15 minutes this morning to get a reservation for EPCOT. My first tip is to
keep checking for a reservation, but since 2:00 PM is getting close, I wanted to contact a Cast Member for more information.
Libby Beth was very helpful and said that as long as your Annual Pass isn't blocked for today, and if the theme park isn't at capacity, you should be able to
enter after 2:00 PM without a reservation. She added that since today is a bit of an anomaly due to the recent hurricane, she advises all guests to be prepared to be flexible.
I recommend checking your
My Disney Experience mobile app by selecting "Park Hours & Info" under the Welcome screen's "Plan My Next Visit" section. Scroll to see if park hopping is available because that would indicate if a park is at capacity. If the hopper hours are listed as open to close, you should be able to scan in and make some magic!
Another tip is to call the
Annual Passholders line to double-check procedures for passholders for the next couple of days as Walt Disney World recovers from the storm. They'll have up-to-date information specifically for passholders like us. I've also had good luck getting answers quickly using the "Chat With Us" feature in the mobile app.
Michael, I'm wishing on a star that you can enjoy some post-hurricane fun at the Most Magical Place on Earth soon. Please
stop by planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
