Hello, Emily! Welcome back to planDisney.
How exciting that you're embarking on your Disney Cruise Line adventure in just a few days! I'm thrilled your niece is joining you for the trip. Proper documentation is essential for a seamless transition from land to sea. I understand being nervous with your cruise so close. Let's explore the requirements together to ensure everything goes smoothly at the port.
Disney Cruise Line’s
Travel Documentation page outlines all the necessary documentation and gets updated in case of any changes by the U.S. State Department. For a U.S. citizen sailing on a closed-loop itinerary, an original or copy of a state-issued birth certificate AND a physical Government-issued photo ID are acceptable to sail. If your niece is fifteen or younger, she doesn’t need to show a photo ID.
I hope this is welcome news as you plan for your upcoming voyage. If you have any questions or concerns,
reach out to Disney Cruise Line for guidance. While we're on the subject of things to bring on your cruise, don’t forget your Port Arrival Form. On embarkation day, Cast Members will check everyone’s citizenship documentation and scan your Port Arrival Form to complete the check-in process.
As you wait for your boarding group number to be called, open the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and explore the daily entertainment and activities. If you come across an activity you don't want to miss, click the heart icon next to the listing, and the app will send a reminder notification fifteen minutes before the fun is set to begin.
Have a safe trip, and enjoy every magical moment!
SEAS the adventure!
