I need to plan a family trip for about 12 people to Disneyland later in the year.. October or November. Where do I start?

Welcome to planDisney, Nancy! You've come to the right place because we love helping our fellow Guests plan their most magical family vacations to Disneyland Resort!

I'd love to help you get started as you think through all the planning details for your upcoming trip. Some of my favorite memories at Disneyland Resort have been with my extended family, so I'll be sure to share some helpful tips for planning a visit for a large travel party

If you haven't already done so, I suggest that you and perhaps a few other adults in your party make sure to create a Disney account, download the official Disneyland mobile app, and familiarize yourself with it in advance of your visit. It will become a wonderful digital resource and will enable you to use the map feature, place mobile food and beverage orders, link your tickets, and more!

Speaking of tickets, this is one of the most important logistics to secure, along with a theme park reservation for each Guest in your party and for each day you'd like to visit the Disneyland Resort theme parks. Currently, theme park reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance of your visit, and you will be able to make these reservations at the same time you purchase your tickets by following all the required prompts. You can link each ticket to your own Disney account and repeat the process for your family members so they also have them linked.

Now, Nancy, you might also be considering where to stay when you arrive at Disneyland Resort. There are three Disneyland Resort hotel properties, with unique theming, comprehensive amenities, and special benefits designed just for Guests of the hotels. One of my favorites is the Early Entry benefit which grants access to a select theme park each day, up to 30 minutes prior to regular park operating hours. You'll be amazed at how much magic you can experience in those first 30 minutes of the day! Alternatively, there are dozens of Good Neighbor Hotels in proximity to the Disneyland Resort that reflect a range of styles, preferences, and vacation budgets!

One thing I also want to mention is the Disneyland Resort Vacation Package option which enables Guests to book their hotel accommodations and theme park tickets in one single transaction. Guests can secure these vacation packages with an initial deposit and then make payments up until the final balance is due 30 days prior to check-in.

I'll link a few more resources that might be helpful to you, Nancy, including which dining options might be suitable for a large travel group and other recommendations for making plans with extended family and friends. I hope this is a helpful start, and I do hope that you'll feel welcome to reach out to me again if I can provide more support. It's always such a pleasure to help spread a little pixie dust on your vacation plans!

    Wishing you Wondrous Journeys,
    Tishra
