Disneyland app: I’d like to easily plan a fall trip to Disneyland for the adult members of my family who live in other states. Has Disneyland yet copied Disney World’s easy way of linking accounts with Family & Friends?

Greetings, Timothy!  On behalf of all of us, please allow me to be the first to welcome you to planDisney. We are so excited you're here!

It sounds like you are familiar with planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort where the Family & Friends feature in My Disney Experience allows you to link your hotel, dining, and activity reservations together across the accounts of those your travel party. There is no formal Family & Friends list for Disneyland Resort, but I'll be happy to share with you how to share your plans with any members of your group through the official Disneyland mobile app

Tickets or Magic Key Passes: When you open the app home screen, you will see the '≡' icon on the main menu. Tap this, and then scroll to "Tickets and Passes" where you will be able to link tickets using your mobile device's camera to scan the barcode or QR code, or simply manually enter the Ticket ID. Once your tickets are linked to each person's device and you have scanned them to enter a theme park, you'll automatically see them available to add to a group if you choose to book Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane selections or virtual queues. This will allow you to have the same return window so that you can enjoy your selected attractions or entertainment options together!

Disneyland Resort Hotel Reservations: If you have booked a stay at one of the three Disneyland Resort hotels, you will be able to add this information to all members of your travel party by selecting the "My Hotel Reservation" icon in the mobile app. The option to "Link a Reservation" will appear, and you'll be asked to enter the reservation or confirmation number, the Last Name of the Guest who made the reservation, and your arrival date.

Dining Reservations: At the moment, dining reservations may only be linked to one account at a time. So, if multiple members of your travel group have made dining reservations, it might be helpful to share the confirmation numbers with them or send a screenshot of the reservation confirmation.

Disney PhotoPass Photos: Using the "Photos" icon, you'll see any current Disney PhotoPass photos linked to your account, but it is also possible to link the photos that are associated with the account of someone else in your party! You will see the option "Link Photos" in the top right-hand corner of your app screen, then have your friend or family member show their PhotoPass Code or Card that you can scan to add them to your account. This will populate with all the photos currently linked to their account, and then you can download and share them as you wish!

In general, my best tip is to use the "Future Plans" tab in the Disneyland mobile app to refer to any existing reservations, including those for theme park entry, dining, hotel, and Enchanting Extras. I love being able to quickly access all the confirmations on one page.

I hope this has been helpful advice, Timothy! Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions about traveling as a group. Sharing the magic of Disneyland Resort with your loved ones is the best gift, and it sounds like you're gearing up for some unforgettable memories together!

    Wishing you Wondrous Journeys,
