Hi Shelley,
We are so happy that YOU are here with us at
planDisney. Thanks for stopping by with your question.
One of the many zillions (exact number!) of reasons that
Walt Disney World Resort is always our first-choice vacation destination is that everything is thoughtfully designed so that all members of our giant family can enjoy our time together. That currently includes a few Guests in our crew with limited mobility who use scooters on our vacations and has included a behemoth double-stroller. It's wonderful to see three generations of the "B Family" all cruising along in the theme parks at the same speed. No, "Go on ahead without me and I'll catch up," with our favorite Mouse.
This includes on
Walt Disney World Resort bus transportation! You can absolutely ride a mobility scooter right up the ramp on the rear door to travel between theme parks, from your Disney Resort hotel, and to Disney Springs!
There are a few things to keep in mind:
1. There is only space for up to two mobility scooters on each bus. If there are more than two already in the queue, your whole group will want to stand by for the next bus.
2. There is a designated queue area for mobility scooters at each Disney bus stop. They are normally marked with a yellow square.
3. When your bus arrives, the driver will park, make their way to the back door, and set up the metal ramp for you. They will then step off and help you navigate your way into the designated spot. Finally, they will lock the scooter into place. This is when the rest of your group will be invited to enter through the front doors and find the perfect seat.
I hope that helps, Shelley! Let us know what other questions you have!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Sally
