Boo to you, Sophie! We're
dying to help you today here at planDisney, so let's talk about how you can enjoy
Mickey's Not-So-Scary-Halloween Party. You know, there's always room for one more ghost!
My husband and I are Disney Pixie Dust Passholders, and we love using all the
perks and discounts. So I completely understand wanting to take advantage of any specially priced tickets for the after-hours parties.
I chatted with a cadaverous Cast Member who said that as long as your pass is active at the time of purchase, you'll be able to buy
special-event tickets and apply any eligible annual passholder discounts.
Here's where things get
creepy. When you scan in for your party credentials at
Magic Kingdom Park on party night, the system will see that you no longer have an active pass and will flag your entry. While you won't be able to enter the party with that ticket, you should be able to upgrade to the regular-priced ticket at Guest Relations.
Since that will take valuable time away from your party fun, I recommend purchasing a regularly priced ticket from the start to avoid any troublesome spirits at the gate.
Now, if there's a chance that you might renew your annual pass, then I think you should absolutely buy a discounted ticket to the party. If you do let your pass expire, you can
call the help line to upgrade your ticket before the event, saving time at the entrance. I think this plan might cover all the bases!
This year's Halloween extravaganza includes exclusive tricks and treats for guests to enjoy. I think the
Minnie Witch Hat strikes the perfect balance between not-so-scary and delicious! You can find it at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café during party hours.
Sophie, I hope some happy haunts help you decide what to do about your annual pass. I'd love to welcome you back to the passholder family. Whatever you decide, I hope you have a
scream on your next visit!
Hope to see you again at
planDisney, and don't forget to step into the
dead center of the room!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
