Hi, Manali!
Thank you for stopping by planDisney. My family often celebrates birthdays at Disneyland Resort! It is the most magical
birthday destination!
Guests who are at least three years old do need to purchase a theme park ticket, even on their birthday. However, ticket promotions can often be found on the Disneyland Resort website or by contacting your local travel agent. For example, a
3-Day Disneyland Ticket Offer is currently available, which offers Guests a discounted rate on select 3-day tickets through September 26, 2024. I recommend talking with your travel agent about any offers that could apply to your family.
There are plenty of ways to celebrate your child's birthday at Disneyland! Disneyland has two theme parks -
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park. After entering one of the theme parks, our family stops by City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park or at Guest Services in Disney California Adventure Park to pick up a complimentary "I'm celebrating" button to honor our birthday girl (or boy). My kids get very excited when a Cast Member or Guest wishes them a happy birthday!
Enjoying breakfast with some of your favorite Disney Characters is the perfect way to celebrate your child's birthday! You can even bring a blank birthday card and ask the Disney Characters to sign it instead of using a traditional autograph book.
"Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park" at Plaza Inn and
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose are my favorite birthday brunch spots! Dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance on the Disneyland website or through your travel agent.
Your child might also enjoy participating in a unique activity, such as building a droid at
Droid Depot in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Guests gather parts from a conveyor belt moving through the workshop, and then they can build their own droids! It is a fun experience, and your child can keep their droid! Advanced reservations are suggested, and can be made up to 60 days in advance.
Manali, I hope your family can visit Disneyland Resort soon! Do not hesitate to reach out to planDisney again if you have other questions!
Magic Happens!
