Hiya Kelsey,
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for submitting your question to us.
“
A very merry unbirthday to you!” I see your upcoming visit to the
Disneyland Resort is just around the Riverbend! Have you packed your Disney ears, made all
advanced dining reservations, and reviewed the
Disneyland Halloween Foodie Guide 2024? If so, all that’s left is to count down the days until your visit!
Lightning Lane Single Pass and Multi Pass may have recently changed names, but their function remains the same! Lightning Lane Single Pass is a paid a la carte option for the most popular rides at the Disneyland Resort (such as
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance) where Guests can pay to wait in a shorter queue for the attraction. Lightning Lane Multi Pass is a separate paid service that includes a list of the less popular (but no less fun!) attractions where Guests can select return time windows (subject to change) to wait in a shorter queue.
When it comes time to book attractions, Guests at the Disneyland Resort can only select attractions on the day of their visit. This is different from
Walt Disney World Resort, where Guests can book attractions via Lightning Lane Multi Pass up to three days before their visit date! I’m sorry for the confusion, especially since both paid services have the same name! So to clear it up, Guests at the Disneyland Resort can only select Lightning Lane experiences the day of their visit.
To purchase and/or select your Lightning Lane (Single Pass or Multi-Pass), log into your MyDisney account on the
Disneyland app and click on the (☰) at the bottom right-hand of the screen. Next, click on "LL Rides, Shows & Lightning Lane Entry” at the top right side under your Disney character avatar. You'll be directed to the "Tip Board" where you can see a list of attractions, their current standby line wait time, and Lightning Lane return time. From here, simply book whichever Lightning Lane you wish to experience and return at that time to the attraction!
If you have other questions about the Disneyland Resort, remember - you’ve got a friend in me!
