Hey, howdy, hey, Anna! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with this great question. Your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation will be here soon, so let's look at ways to ensure your
MagicBand+ is ready to work for you.
My family loves
using our MagicBand+ to scan into the theme parks, our Disney Resort Hotel, and more. And the fun haptics and interactive features are the icing on the cake. I'm sorry to hear you're having technical difficulties getting yours charged; I have a few ways we can troubleshoot.
My band didn't charge overnight on a recent trip because I hadn't clicked it firmly into the dock. I've heard others say the same has happened to them, so that's the first thing to check. Sometimes it's the simplest solution, so I'm wishing on a star that's the case for you!
If it is securely seated in the charger, check your
My Disney Experience mobile app to ensure your band is charging. On the Welcome screen, scroll to "MagicBands & Cards" and tap on your name. On the next screen, you'll scroll through any active bands you have and choose the MagicBand+ you're trying to charge. Under the photo of the band, you'll see data about connectivity and its current charge status. I always make sure my software is up to date since that can impact its functionality.
In this answer, my panelist pal Kaitlin offers additional tips on checking your band's charge level. If you still have issues, I recommend contacting the
My Disney Experience/MagicBand line for assistance. They're the techie gurus for MagicBand+ and can walk you through the
steps to try.
I hope you can check out the new nighttime spectacular at EPCOT.
Luminous The Symphony of Us lights up the sky over the World Showcase most nights at 9:00 PM. And keep an eye on your MagicBand+ for some synchronized, twinkling surprises.
Anna, I'm sending you pixie dust so your upcoming visit is free from glitches! Please come back to
planDisney with any planning questions you have.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
