Aloha Sheri!
Your question has just unlocked a core memory for me and I can practically smell the fresh tropical aroma of
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort lobby from my home as I type. I just love the feeling of stepping into the resort lobbies and inhaling those delicious scents. It's the signal that you're "home" and your vacation magic is about to begin!
I reached out to a Cast Member who confirmed that "Hibiscus Passion" is the current enchanting lobby fragrance but this particular scent is only available for businesses and hotels. I searched the ScentAir website high and low for that scent's specific fragrance notes but was unable to find the secret recipe. I was actually surprised to learn that the company is headquartered less than 30 minutes from my home, so perhaps I'll need to pay them an in-person visit one day.
I didn't want to keep you waiting while I planned out my reconnaissance mission so I did a little extra online research. I came across another home scent that might be a close match called "Island Breeze." The ScentAir site says it smells like "landing on a faraway island surrounded by clear blue water" and features the "alluring scent of Tiare flower, orange blossom, solar amber and musk." This sounds like the peaceful and relaxing getaway it feels like when you first enter the Polynesian lobby and don a floral lei, and I'm hopeful it's just an updated name for "Paradise Breeze."
I also found several Disney-inspired small shops with candles and home fragrance diffusers that might keep your tropical spirit afloat until your next trip. I've ordered from Spireside on past occasions and have heard great things about Magic Candle Company too. Keep an eye on their offerings to see if anything calls to you like the line where the sky meets the sea calls to Moana.
Sheri, I hope this gets you started on a magical fragrance journey until your next trip. Before you know it, you'll be ready to splash down at the
Lava Pool and enjoy a treat from
Pineapple Lanai. Sending you warm island wishes to sweep those winter blues out to sea till then!
Magic and memories,
Amy
