Hi Natalie,
Happy New Year and thanks for bringing us another question. I'm so sorry to hear that some of your
Disney Gift Card numbers accidentally peeled off. Let's see if we can find a solution!
Based on my research, it seems that you aren't the first to experience this particular issue. If you're feeling creative you can try transferring the peeled area onto another piece of paper and scratching off to reveal the missing numbers. This may not work depending on the condition of the card, but not to worry. I came across a post where another guest said they were able to reach out to the phone number listed on the back of the gift card for assistance. The representative was able to determine the balance and transfer the value to another card. This should be a simple process if you have another
Disney Gift Card on hand already. Speaking of, did you know you can combine multiple gift cards into one to streamline your payment options? I recently
detailed the steps for transferring balances for another guest.
I haven't seen these newer eco-friendly cards myself, so I'm not sure if they have a magnetic strip you can swipe or a barcode that can be scanned. If so, you should still be able to use your gift card for in-person purchases during your trip. If you aren't able to resolve this before your visit bring the card with you and visit a Cast Member for assistance. I've always found them willing to help or at least point me toward someone who can.
My next visit is just 3 weeks away and I already have a list of merchandise I'm hoping to purchase. Have you seen the new
Disney Eats Snacks Collection? I just love the Spirit Jerseys and can't wait to add one to my collection. I received a Disney Gift Card as a holiday gift, so I'm prepared to shop till I drop. Hopefully, you'll be able to uncover the missing information and do the same without too much effort.
Natalie, I hope this helped. If you need any additional assistance please don't hesitate to come back and see us again.
Magic and memories,
Amy
