Hi, we’re looking to get from Magic Kingdom to Pioneer Hall for HoopDeeDoo Revue. Is there still a boat to Wilderness Lodge? How long is the boat ride? What time does the boat stop running if we wanted to take the boat back after the 8:30 seating?

Howdy, Kathleen, and thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question about the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue! This is my favorite dining experience at the Walt Disney World Resort; I just cannot get enough of the Pioneer Players! From the moment you step into Pioneer Hall, you're going to be raising the roof on feasting and fun, so be sure to bring your appetite for both!

Traveling from Magic Kingdom Park to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is quick and easy by using Disney Water Transportation! Just head down to the boat launch outside the main entrance to the Theme Park and look for the one marked for the campground, and in about 10 minutes from setting sail, you'll be arriving directly at the Settlement area of the campground where Pioneer Hall is! From here, it's just a short walk over to the hall where you will find a podium to check-in with a Cast Member and receive your seating assignment for dinner. While the boat ride itself is pretty quick, I would recommend giving yourself ample time to make your way to your reservation; the water taxis operate on a 15-30 minute rotation, and you want to arrive at Pioneer Hall at least 30 minutes before your reservation time to have time to check-in and not miss a moment of the fun!

Getting back to Magic Kingdom Park, the boats will usually run for up to an hour and a half after park closing. Keep an eye on the Park Hours and Events calendar for the park hours as your trip draws closer to have a better idea, but the show usually lasts about 90 minutes, so most nights you should find the boats still running. Another alternative will be bus transportation; if you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel and headed back there after the show, there are often direct buses picking up at the Settlement Depot to bring you directly to your Disney Resort hotel. If you are returning to Magic Kingdom Park or the Transportation and Ticket Center and a boat is not available, there should be a bus available instead.

Kathleen, I know you are going to have the best time at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue; get ready to clap your hands, stomp your feet, sing along, and laugh until you cry in the spirit of comedy! You're sure to leave with a full belly and a smile on your face, with lots of magical memories in your heart! I know I do every single time!

    Magic Awaits,
    Alison
