Hi, little one broke his elbow 3 days before we come, no cast but he can’t move it, can he go on guardians of the galaxy and tianas bayou adventure? I am on my own with 3 kids, elder two are 13 and 10 so could go on their own if he can’t go.

Greetings, Leanne, and welcome to planDisney! Your magical Walt Disney World Resort visit is well underway, so I hope your family is having a fantastic time. I'm so sorry to hear about your little one's accident; that sounds so painful! Having raised an adventurous and active Mousketeer, I have some suggestions for making the most of your vacation.

My first recommendation is to contact your family physician, but since you're visiting internationally, I have another idea. My husband recently stopped by First Aid at EPCOT, and we discovered a whole new world of medical help for guests. The Cast Members were attentive and informative; they took excellent care of us! The best news is that all four theme parks have a First Aid location, so I suggest stopping there as soon as possible for their advice.

As long as kiddos meet the minimum height requirement, the decision to ride is up to the parent. Most thrill rides will have a level of movement that might require your child to hold on, so I'd be hesitant about him boarding the two you mentioned. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is a high-speed, spinning ride, and I typically grip the lap bar tightly. Tiana's Bayou Adventure has a significant drop, so that's another one that might require hanging on.

I'd listen to the advice of the First Aid staff and make a decision based on their recommendations. You know your children best, so the final call will be yours. I've also found that Cast Members who work at an attraction will have a good idea of its intensity, so they'd be another great resource to use when making your decision.

Many attractions and shows are accessible to everyone, so I feel confident you'll have a magical time no matter what. You can check for height requirements and thrill levels in the My Disney Experience mobile app. Tap the map icon at the bottom and choose "Attractions" from the dropdown menu above the park map. I like to select "Show List" in the upper right and then click on an attraction to see information. Anything designated as a "Slow Ride" should be fair game for your entire family. My personal favorite? The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover at Magic Kingdom Park!

Leanne, I'm waving my magic wand so that your trip will be injury-free and fun from here on! Please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
