Hi Jessica, and welcome to planDisney. Before you know it, you’ll be walking down Main Street, U.S.A. and eating all the Mickey-shaped snacks! So let’s get your
Disney resort hotel reservation linked to your
MyDisney account so you’re all set for your trip.
If you booked your stay through the Disney World website, it should be automatically linked to your MyDisney account (as long as you were logged in when you made the reservation). If you booked through a third-party company, you’ll need to link it manually. I find it easiest to do in the
My Disney Experience app. Go to ☰ in the lower right corner and select Link to Account (scroll down to the Account section). On the next page, go to Type ID towards the top. Under Resort Reservation, input your confirmation number and the last name on the reservation, and press the Link Resort button. In my experience, some third-party companies have the booking number in their email confirmation, while others you may need to call for that number. I had to do this last year for a reservation at the Swan Hotel, and I was able to get it by calling the hotel directly.
Staying at a Disney resort hotel means you get access to so many
special perks! My family loves
Early Theme Park Entry for extra time in the parks before regular park opening. It really helps us maximize our mornings before the weather gets too hot and we want to head back to the resort hotel for a pool break.
Speaking of keeping cool, Disney resort hotel guests also get
free water park admission on check-in day this summer. It’s the practically perfect way to kick off your Disney vacation! And there are some extra happenings going on at the water parks, theme parks, and select resort hotels right now for
Cool KIDS’ SUMMER. My family is most excited for the special character experiences, like playing games and dancing with Jessie, Woody, and Bullseye at
Jessie’s Roundup in Magic Kingdom. It’s sure to be a rootin’, tootin’ good time!
And finally, one of my other favorite perks for Disney resort hotel guests is being able to buy
Lightning Lane Passes seven days ahead of check-in for your entire stay (up to 14 days). Popular Lightning Lane selections go quickly, so this makes it easier to get popular attractions like Slinky Dog Dash and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
I’m wishing you the most magical stay at Disney World next month! And if you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to visit us again at planDisney.
