Welcome back to planDisney, Leslie! You're asking about my favorite Disneyland nighttime spectacular, so I've been keeping a close eye on this announcement too.
Disney has shared that the final performance of
Paint the Night this year will take place on August 20. While the
Daily Events Schedule for that date hasn't been released yet, the parade has typically stepped off at 8:45 p.m. and again at 10:45 p.m. If seeing this dazzling parade one last time is at the top of your Disneyland wish list, I'd recommend making your park reservation as soon as possible, as I expect that evening to be especially popular.
Here's a Q-Tip from someone who's watched Paint the Night more times than I can count: my favorite viewing location is near the entrance to "
it's a small world." While Main Street, U.S.A. often draws the largest crowds, this area usually feels a bit more relaxed while still offering fantastic views of every glowing float. I recommend arriving early to claim your spot, especially for the final performances.
Another reason I love this location is that your magical evening doesn't have to end when the last float rolls by. Once the parade concludes, simply stay where you are to enjoy
Wondrous Journeys. Watching the "it's a small world" façade transform into a colorful celebration of Disneyland's history is the perfect way to cap off an unforgettable night. If you're fortunate enough to be there for the final performance of Paint the Night, I can't think of a better way to celebrate this beloved parade.
Leslie, I hope this helps you plan an unforgettable evening at Disneyland. If you have any other questions as your visit approaches, please stop by and visit us again here at planDisney. We'd be delighted to help!
May your night be filled with dazzling lights, unforgettable memories, and the magic of knowing you were there to say, "When can we do this again?"
