Welcome to planDisney, Vanessa!
We're so glad to see you here today. Your visit is just about a week away and I know you must be so excited to get the magic underway! I'm happy to help as you finalize your plans.
You'll be glad to know that you can transfer funds to a
Disney eGift Card for use in your phone's digital wallet. I learned all about this from my pal and fellow panelist
Aena from an answer she provided for another guest. I'm telling you, there is
always something new and exciting to discover when it comes to a Disney vacation. I learn a fun new fact almost every time I research a guest's question.
In order to
transfer the funds between your cards you'll first need to create a profile on
disneygiftcard.com. This will allow you to combine balances of multiple cards, up to a maximum value of $1,000, which definitely comes in handy instead of managing a bunch of smaller denomination cards on your trip. Simply add your existing eGift Card to the account and any additional Disney Gift Cards in your possession (I believe you can manage up to 6 cards on the Disney Gift Card website). Next, transfer the funds to the eGift Card in your phone's wallet and the balance should update before you can say "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!"
I'd recommend hanging on to at least one physical gift card and keeping that stored on your account, in case you lose your phone or experience technical issues during your trip. You'll be able to transfer any gift card balances back to the other card(s) as needed.
I hope this helps Vanessa! If we can answer any additional questions as you countdown to your trip be sure to come back and let us know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
