    Are the swimming pools at Disney Resorts opened year round? If not, when do they close for the season?

    Hi Sara,

    The Disney Resort pools are such a unique feature at each of the resort hotels. They have creative theming, water slides, and pool games throughout the day. We typically reserve at least one day of our vacation days for exploring the resort and hanging out by the pool. My family has so much fun at the pool parties playing games, making crafts, and doing trivia.

    The pools at Disney World stay open year-round and are all heated so it is always a pleasant experience! The pools will only close if there is dangerous weather in the area like lightning which is typical of any outdoor pool. One thing to note is that you can only swim and lounge at the pool connected to the resort you are staying in. You will need to use your MagicBand+ or room key to go in and out of the pool areas. 

    If you are a pool aficionado, you should also check out Disney World's water parks! They are open year-round and have some of the coolest slides and lazy rivers I have seen.
