I know there are no outside Foil helium balloons allowed, but what about plastic air filled balloon with lights are those allowed?

Hey there Wendy!  Thanks for bringing your great question to planDisney, I'm happy to help!

I spoke with a helpful Cast Member, and she said that it is possible that security may not allow you to bring in outside balloons.  You are definitely welcome to bring it and check with security when you arrive, but I would be prepared to return it to your car or hotel if it is not allowed.  Here are the Disneyland Resort Property Rules, I'm hoping these are helpful as you prepare for your trip!

If the reason you want to bring a balloon in is to celebrate a special occasion, you definitely could purchase a balloon from one of the balloon vendors on Main Street, U.S.A.!  There are usually several to choose from, and during the evening there are some special balloons that light up as well.  If you will have a stroller with you, I like to tie the balloon to the handle to help identify our stroller!

If you're celebrating a birthday, anniversary or just being on vacation, you can grab a complimentary birthday or celebratory button at City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park or at Guest Services in Disney California Adventure Park.  We've always received special shout-outs from Cast Members and fellow Guests when we've worn ours, it's definitely a way to make the day more special!

I hope this information helps you prepare for your trip, Wendy!  If we can help with any other questions, please come back to planDisney!

    Have a magical day,
    Melissa
