Boo to you, Jason, and welcome to planDisney! You'll be visiting Walt Disney World Resort soon, and it sounds like you'll be spending a haunted evening with Mickey at Magic Kingdom Park. Let's look at how you can add some treats to the tricks while you're there.
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of my favorite events of the year! I hope you catch
Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade. When I hear the clop-clop of the Headless Horseman's steed galloping out of the mist, I get chills!
And
Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular is a frightfully fun show, with the dessert parties taking the event to an even higher level. Kudos for booking one for your group!
This year, guests can choose from two dessert options for prime fireworks viewing.
The first is
Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing. You will check in about 90 minutes before the scheduled showtime to pick up your credentials and be seated in Tomorrowland Terrace. You'll devour delectable bites and sips, and as the showtime nears, you'll be escorted as a group to the Plaza Garden viewing area. This is a roped-off spot exclusive to the dessert party, so you can enjoy the spectacular without worrying about finding a good view.
The other option is
Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace. If you select this party, you'll check in about an hour before the show and enjoy your sweet treats while you watch from your seat on the terrace.
I chatted with a cadaverous Cast Member who confirmed that these are the only options for this year's Halloween dessert parties. I'm stirring my magic cauldron in hopes that one of these spooky soireés will work for you!
Jason, have a ghoulishly good time on your upcoming visit, and stop by
planDisney anytime. As The Bride says at the end of
Haunted Mansion, "Hurry baaaaack...."
Magic awaits,
Elaine
