Welcome to planDisney, Pam! It sounds like you might be in the middle of your
Walt Disney World Resort visit, so I hope you're having a magical adventure with your mom. As someone "of a certain age," I completely understand that we mature princesses sometimes require assistance with our royal luggage!
I'm happy to let you know that
Bell Services can typically come to your resort hotel room to transport your luggage to the lobby area. You can call them from your room to make that request, or stop by the Bell Services desk to set up the time.
My tip is to allow at least 30 minutes, maybe more if you're on a strict schedule with an airport shuttle. Please note that luggage service is subject to staff availability, so allow extra time during the hours when resort guests are arriving and checking out.
If you have an early-morning shuttle, I suggest speaking with Bell Services in person the evening before for advice on when to call. They should be available 24 hours a day, but it never hurts to be sure when an airplane is waiting!
This is a complimentary perk for hotel guests, but tips are usually appreciated. Even royal footmen (who might secretly be mice) are pleased to be thanked for their efforts.
Disney's Art of Animation Resort is one of my favorites! So much so, that my pal JoAnna and I recently filmed a
tour of the property. I'd never stayed in a
Cars Family Suite, but now it's at the top of my Disney must-try list. The carseat sofa won me over; ka-CHOW!
Pam, I hope you make many memories to treasure for years to come on this vacation. Please stop by
planDisney anytime; your pumpkin coach is always ready to roll!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
