Hello, I'm planning on buying a Annual Pass, and would like my first day of activation be on Christmas Day, but I noticed on the AP calendar Magic Kingdom is blacked out. If my first day were to be on the 25th, could I still visit this park?

    Hello Obed,

Thanks for bringing your question our way! I'm thrilled to hear you're planning to join the Annual Passholder family. I've loved using my Disney Sorcerer Pass over the past 2 years and hope to renew for another year of magic as soon as I'm eligible this spring.

As a non-Florida resident, you are eligible to purchase the Disney Incredi-Pass (or the Disney Sorcerer Pass if you happen to be an eligible Disney Vacation Club Member). In addition to Passholder perks like discounts on select food and merchandise and complimentary standard theme park parking, the Incredi-Pass also allows you to hold up to 5 theme park reservations at a time. This pass is not subject to blockout dates, but you will be required to make a theme park reservation for most visits, and not all theme parks will be available every day.

As you have already noticed on the admission calendar, theme park reservations are currently unavailable for Magic Kingdom Park on December 25. However, you can activate your Annual Pass and make a reservation to visit a different park that day. As a Passholder, you can park hop to a second, third, or fourth park on the same day, subject to availability, after entering your reserved park. Christmas Day tends to be busy across the resort, so I recommend trying to hop over to Magic Kingdom Park early in the day.

You'll also want to keep a close eye on the My Disney Experience Mobile App during your visit as the app will notify guests if capacity-related closures are implemented at any of the parks. My family visited Magic Kingdom Park on Christmas Day a few years ago and a temporary closure occurred midday. If this happens during your visit, you will not be permitted to enter Magic Kingdom Park until restrictions are lifted, even if you have already entered your reserved park.

Obed, I'm crossing my fingers that you'll be able to enjoy the magic of Christmas on Main Street, U.S.A. this year. If so, you'll have the added bonus of specialty entertainment like Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks which are normally reserved for evenings when Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is scheduled.

Wishing you a merry and magical visit!
